With three convenient Austin locations, Tres Amigos Restaurant and Cantina is the quintessential friendly neighborhood restaurant.

Stop by after work and join us for our happy hour, which is happy indeed when you have one...or two... or tres...of our legendary margaritas. These aren't your grandma’s margaritas, these are strong and flavorful, the way a drink should be. Choose traditional, or try one of our yummy fruity flavors like mango, strawberry, peach, black raspberry, melon or pomegranate. Take a buck off any item from the bar, Sunday-Thursday from 3-7, and 3-6 on Friday and Saturday. In addition to happy hour, we also have awesome drink specials every day of the week. Whether it's Sunday Funday or the Monday blues, our house margaritas are only $3.75 all day long.

We also have a superb selection of fine tequilas, domestic and imported beers, and specialty cocktails, like our unique Mexican Martini with tequila and Cointreau. Kick back, unwind from your day, wet your whistle, have some chips and salsa, and when you're ready for the best authentic Tex-Mex cuisine Austin has to offer, you just let us know.

Why not start with our Texas Quail Poppers? Juicy little quail breasts are stuffed with some bacon-wrapped jalapeƱos and served with chipotle and avocado sauce. It doesn't get any better than this. Unless it’s the Shrimp Diablo we're talking about. Bacon-wrapped and stuffed with jalapeƱo and Monterey Jack cheese, these babies are truly decadent!

Besides the traditional fare of tacos, enchiladas, fajitas, and burritos served on our knockdown fabulous homemade flour tortillas, Tres Amigos Restaurant and Cantina has some excellent specialties and Austin favorites. Pescado Veracruz is a tilapia filet, lightly seasoned with garlic and lime, and grilled to perfection. Then we finish it off with some grilled shrimp, onions, poblanos and a hot-to-trot sauce Veracruz.

Carmelo’s Stuffed Avocado is one of those dishes no one wants to share, it’s so good. We take a whole avocado and stuff it with grilled chicken breast, smoky bacon, and scallions. Then it gets breaded and deep fried until it's a crunchy golden brown. We serve it on a bed of rice, all covered in chile con queso which is full of cheesy goodness.

Customers can mix and match, creating their own combination dinners. Most entrees are served with cilantro-lime rice and black beans. Tortilla soup and a guacamole salad make a great lunch special. Vegetarians have options, too, like our Veggie Enchilada Dinner. Three enchiladas our filled with black beans, spinach and mushrooms, and served with all the fixins' on the side.

You'll want to be sure to save room for dessert. Try our Flan, a creamy Mexican custard with just a hint of vanilla or Xanga, a cheesecake that is lightly fried and served with vanilla ice cream and a caramel and mango sauce.  Please visit
